PREP & AFTERCARE
Before and After Your Spray Tan
WHEN TO BOOK
Two to three days before your wedding or event, so your color can fully develop and fade evenly.

BEFORE YOUR TAN
-
Exfoliate thoroughly with a non-oil-based scrub or mitt, focusing on knees, elbows, ankles, hands, and feet.
-
Avoid bar soap and Dove products. They leave a residue that blocks even absorption.
-
Stop self tanners and gradual tanning lotions at least one week before.
-
Hydrate. Hydrated skin holds color longer.
-
Shave or wax at least 24 hours prior, never the same day.
-
Day of: skip perfume, oils, deodorant, and lotion, and remove all makeup and jewelry.

WHAT TO WEAR
-
Loose, dark clothing. No leggings, sports bras, or tight straps that may rub.
-
Flip-flops or slides. No socks or closed-toe shoes.
-
Disposable undergarments are available, or wear as little as you feel comfortable.
-
Avoid white or light-colored fabrics right after.

AFTER YOUR TAN
-
Avoid water, sweat, and skin contact (dishes, pets, rain) until your first rinse.
-
No lotion, deodorant, or perfume until after your first rinse.
-
Wait 5 to 8 hours to shower. Use lukewarm water, no soap for the first rinse.
-
Pat dry only. Never rub.
-
Moisturize daily with an alcohol-free, oil-free lotion. Sunscreen with alcohol fades color.
-
Skip exfoliating, long baths, pools, hot tubs, and salt water to keep your glow longer.
